Medical Hypocrisy...

Explain to me how this works PLEASE!

A certain yearly Rx has run out and I have a certain yearly exam to go to where I normally get that yearly Rx refilled.  I call to make an appointment and the appointment person says "You last appointment was late SEPT 08 so you can't see the Dr. BEFORE then or your insurance wont cover it.

OK let's make my appointment for then BUT  I will need a 1 month refill on the yearly Rx until  I can see the Dr.  The appointment person transfers me to the Nurse.

The Nurse then tells me she CAN'T give me a one month Rx because it has been a YEAR since I have seen the Dr. I MUST see the Dr. to renew this Rx.

BUT I CAN'T SEE THE DR FOR ANOTHER MONTH BECAUSE OF MY INSURANCE...

W. T. F. !!!!!!!!

Now the BIGGER QUESTION - How in the hell did I run out of a 12 month Rx in 11 months? That will just lead me into a freaking CVS rant....

Good thing that "Life is Good" or I might be really upset.... LaLaLa - Sing a HAPPY Song.

OMG. I hate to say typical, but the exact same thing has happened to me. What a PITA. :-)

Oh, yes. Because there are 28 days in each Rx. But that adds up to only 48 weeks. Since the calendar months have 28, sometimes 29, 30 and 31 days a year they actually add up to 52 weeks a year which is 13 "months" for your Rx? Am I close. You made me use my brain! And, obviously I have too much time on my hands.
