Her mother, Susan Torres, had a stroke on May 7th - a complication of Melanoma. She had originally been diagnosed in her teens and was cancer-free for 9 years. Susan was only 26 when she passed. That is such a sad story. I hadn't realized that she was a melanoma victim. :-(

holly-pants! i think the story is very sad for the mother and the father, but it amazes me that the baby is strong and vibrant. i have lots of hope for the little one. i am sending you a giant hug. i wish i could give it to you in person, but i leave for chicago tomorrow. check your email sometime next week for new contact info from me. i love you bunches and hope to see you soon.
