*$#^%@#%$@#

EVERY WORD IN THE BOOK!!!!

Can't I have ONE Dr's appointment that doesn't involve some kind of drama?????

Went in for my yearly GYN appointment 3 weeks ago and had the typical yearly exam. Physical, PAP smear ... run of the mill. I went back to discuss some things with my GYN yesterday and she said, "No PAP results yet but everything else looked good."

TODAY I get a phone call that the PAP came back abnormal and can I come in for a BIOPSY next week?

I must have scared everybody I passed on the street today on the way home. I know I would be scared if I passed a woman who was talking out-loud to herself and saying things like "Leave me the F*CK ALONE!! YOU DO NOT GET TO STAY, THIS IS MY BODY!"

Odds are high that the abnormal PAP is nothing to worry about but as you can imagine my anxiety level is a little higher than usual and frankly, I am simply sick of having pieces of my body (skin, blood, now internal parts) taken every week.

I'm off to Spin Class to work out some anxiety. Living STRONG DAMNIT!

CRAP! I'm sorry, that sucks.

But you're right, if I heard some lady walking down the street saying that, I might give her a wide berth. :-)

It'll be okay, hon. I got a diagnosis of dysplasia once too, and it turned out to be nothing at all. Nothing.

Yours probably will be nothing, too. I'm totally with you on the inconvenience of having to prove it, though.

An abnormal pap is not that abnormal...most of them turn out to be nothing. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get the "it's nothing" explination.

I also have to tell you that I love your blog. I just started my own and I perused a few since starting mine, and yours is awesome!

You're right, it is more likely that it is nothing. We've had a scare like that at our house. Everything turned out OK. Just focus on that. I know, easier said than done. Atleast you are constructively channeling your stress by going to spin class. Other people eat, drink, do drugs, you name it. Keep your head up.

That does suck big time. It's true, it's not unusual to get those results, I had the same thing a few years ago, and it was a royal pain in the you know where....but yeah, i'd be swearing up a storm were I you!

We're all pulling for you all the time.

Darnit! Saying lots of prayers that this is just a flukey thing. Try not to get too ahead of it, though. I know it's hard (I have had lump scares before), but it's really worth it. Take Care!

Holly, happy new year! you start a new deductable on your health insurance!

When I was first diagnosed I had just about every test possible...colonoscopy becuase melanoma shows up up there and an eye exam becuase old mel can be in your optic nerve.... have you had a "pet" scan yet? that's how they found my brain tumor.

it's is better to find out where mel is hiding and attack it early.
